Karnes City ISD Bond 2026
Karnes City ISD has called a bond election for $128M to be on the November 3, 2026, ballot. The bond package addresses facilities, safety, transportation, capital improvements across the district, and teacher housing.
A recommendation was made to the KCISD Board of Trustees by the KCISD Bond Planning Committee after months of study and research. On August 10, the Board of Trustees voted to call for a bond election.

HOW WAS THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPED?
To help the district plan for the future, the KCISD Bond Planning Committee was charged with representing the entire community in the bond planning process and assisting the district in assessing and prioritizing current facility conditions and future requirements.

Residents 65 or older would not be affected by the bond election as long as a homestead and over 65 exemption application has been filed with the local appraisal district.

Whether you need to register to vote for the first time or if you’ve recently moved into the district and need to update your address on your voter registration, you have until October 5, 2026, to register to vote in the November 3 election.
